Collaboration Nation: Teaming Up
To Boost Your Bottom Line
What’s better than shopping a brand you love? Finding out you can get something from two of your favorite brands—in one product! Especially around holiday season (but really, all the time), consumers are loving when their favorite brands team up to bring them something unique and limited-edition to switch up—or supplement—their routine purchases. Here are a few exciting collabs we’ve had our eye on this year:
Native x Girl ScoutsThere’s no denying it, we all look forward to Girl Scout Cookie season—and personal care favorite Native decided to take advantage with an unexpected collaboration with the Girl Scouts. Featuring Native’s signature deodorant, body wash, body spray, shampoo and conditioner in cookie-inspired scents like Caramel Coconut, Trefoils, Peanut Butter, Lemon, and Thin Mints, this limited-edition body care capitalizes on the consumer desire for limited-edition products, nostalgia, and brand collabs.
Burt’s Bees x Hidden Valley As far as U.S. consumers are concerned, there are no two grocery essentials as highly regarded (and highly personal) as lip balm and ranch—and this collaboration between Burt’s Bees and Hidden Valley knows it. After Burt’s Bees joked about this happening last April Fool’s Day, they really made it happen due to high consumer demand, showcasing swift and strategic adaptivity on the brand’s behalf. While we can’t comment on the taste, we can say: Well played, Burt’s Bees.
Fishwife x Keystone Light Dubbed the Smooth Snackle Pack, this unexpected collab between startup tinned-fish darling Fishwife and mainstay beer behemoth Keystone Light offers a fresh take on the tacklebox. Packaged in an actual tackle box with a cooler section for the beer, and a place perfectly fitted for Fishwife’s tinned fish selections, this extremely limited-edition drop brings fishing back into fashion with a mix of old and new.
U by Kotex x PhaseyKotex’s most youthful and performance-based period care brand teamed up with Phasey, a functional food brand for better hormones and happier periods, to create their stigma-breaking “Let’s Have Period Sex” package and campaign. Playing into key consumer trends of phasic hormonal self-care, elevated period care, and stigmatization of sex and periods, this collab keyed into all the right trends for a revolutionary take on Valentine’s Day
