Situation:
Dr. Squatch approached The DPS to create a bespoke package for their cologne
launch. This rigid box needed to stand up to the weight of a heavy glass bottle and
feature a specific wood grain texture unique to the product branding.
Strategy:
Relying on the expertise of our engineers, we designed a durable box that could
withstand all aspects of Dr. Squatch’s operation. This included a savvy approach
to efficient time-study for assembly packout and ISTA 3a ship testing to guarantee
the package would arrive to customers unscathed. We also conducted print
color-matching to ensure that the box matched the target texture and color.

The DPS executed a seamless launch strategy from development to delivery.

Dr. Squatch is on a mission to raise the bar for natural products and reinvent the
way men approach personal care. When the brand had the opportunity to partner
with the iconic Star Wars brand for a limited edition collection of soaps, they
approached The DPS to help them nail the packaging.
Strategy:
Because Star Wars is a Disney-owned property, the packaging for the soap
collection needed to be created with high quality materials that meet Disney’s high
standards. Earning the Disney audit certification is a challenging task–something
that only a few highly qualified suppliers have accomplished.

We partnered with Dr. Squatch to ensure that the manufacturing facilities that
produced their packaging were Disney audit certified and committed to providing
the level of quality that the iconic Star Wars brand deserves.
